My organisation

Steinbeis Transfer Management Ltd. (Steinbeis Ukraine) is part of the international Steinbeis network and focuses on the implementation of cross-border pilot projects and cooperation initiatives, particularly in the fields of Smart Cities, urban systems, and climate-resilient development. Steinbeis Ukraine works closely with cities, regional and national public authorities, companies, and research organisations to translate innovation concepts into practical, implementable solutions. A strong emphasis is placed on project development, consortium building, and implementation readiness, ensuring that international cooperation results in concrete outcomes on the ground rather than purely conceptual studies. A core activity of Steinbeis Ukraine is the coordination and execution of innovation-oriented pilot projects, including demonstration and scaling approaches that strengthen institutional, administrative, and market-side capacities. Skills and vocational aspects are integrated where relevant to support long-term sustainability and operational continuity of implemented solutions. Steinbeis Ukraine is closely linked with Steinbeis companies in Romania, Austria, and Azerbaijan, enabling regional cooperation across Central and Eastern Europe and the Danube region. These Steinbeis entities are strategically coordinated by the Steinbeis Transfer Center East-West Cooperation (Germany), which provides overarching alignment, project structuring expertise, and access to the broader Steinbeis network. Steinbeis Network – A Leading Institution in Knowledge and Technology Transfer Steinbeis GmbH & Co. KG, headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany, is a globally recognised organisation specialising in knowledge and technology transfer. The Steinbeis Network comprises more than 1,100 transfer enterprises and over 5,200 experts, delivering tailored, practice-oriented solutions for businesses, public institutions, and research organisations worldwide. The Steinbeis model is characterised by decentralised entrepreneurial units, each operating independently while adhering to a shared mission: bridging research, innovation, and real-world application. Services span research and development, consulting, training, evaluation, and project implementation, with a strong focus on measurable impact. Through its international reach, applied approach, and proven governance model, Steinbeis provides a robust platform for complex multi-stakeholder initiatives, making it a reliable partner for governments, cities, industry, and innovation ecosystems engaged in cross-border cooperation and sustainable development.

About me

Jürgen Raizner, born in 1967, studied Business Administration and Logistics at the University of Applied Sciences Nürtingen-Geislingen in the Stuttgart region, graduating in 1993. His professional career in international business began as early as 1991. Since then, he has worked as a long-term and short-term expert in almost every country in Central and Eastern Europe, gaining extensive experience in fostering international cooperation.

A notable example of our recent efforts is the project launched in February in partnership with organizations from Croatia. This initiative aims to develop and implement innovative building materials to strengthen the energy efficiency of buildings.

As the founder and director of several Steinbeis enterprises in Germany, Austria, Romania, Azerbaijan, and Ukraine, Jürgen Raizner has been an entrepreneur since 1994. His Steinbeis Centers support companies in identifying optimal locations for foreign direct investment and outsourcing projects. Another key focus of his work is creating business-friendly environments in Central and Eastern Europe, promoting innovation through effective university-industry collaboration, and fostering entrepreneurship based on knowledge and science rather than low-cost manufacturing.

Jürgen Raizner has demonstrated expertise in managing multinational consortia within EU-funded projects. He has successfully led major consultancy initiatives, including reporting at the international board level and to government officials at the state secretary level. His work has significantly contributed to strengthening economic cooperation between businesses, academia, and governments
