Build´n Green 2026

• Build’n Green 2026 - Circularity in Action, this event builds on the success of GreenTech Days meet Future of Building 2024 and continues the journey with a refreshed, future driven concept focused on real-world impact.

• This year’s edition brings together the Austrian and international community on 28 – 29 April 2026 at the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber in Vienna, as well as online.

• The event is designed as a practice oriented, future focused international conference and cooperation platform for sustainable construction, green tech, renewable energy and circular economy solutions.

• Build’n Green 2026 combines conference sessions, panels and workshops with targeted B2B matchmaking, international networking and specific excursions in the greater Vienna area aligned with each of the four thematic pillars.

Organised by WKÖ AUSSENWIRTSCHAFT AUSTRIA / ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA, Enterprise Europe Network Austria and its partners Build’n Green 2026 supports Austrian companies in their internationalisation efforts by connecting them with international buyers, developers and decision makers. Participants gain access to new business partners, expand export opportunities and develop new business ideas.

The event is part of the go-international internationalisation initiative, a joint programme of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs, Energy and Tourism and the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber.

The program follows the principle of circularity and addresses the entire lifecycle of buildings as well as sustainable infrastructure projects. The conference contet is divided in four thematic pillars:

1. Resources & Materials
   From timber as a construction material of the future to innovative materials, recyclates and secondary raw materials, this track highlights resource‑efficient solutions. Material passports, digital supply chains, renewable energy and energy security are key elements.

2. Planning, Construction & Financing
   Focusing on circular architecture and sustainable urban development, this theme showcases green technologies in practice. It addresses financing instruments, energy and grid infrastructure, as well as consortium building and public sector construction projects.

3. Usage & Operation
   Smart buildings and energy‑efficient retrofitting take centre stage, alongside industrial energy efficiency. Building technologies and AI‑based optimisation support performance‑driven and sustainable operations.

4. Deconstruction, Recycling & Reuse
   With deconstruction strategies and urban mining at its core, this pillar explores how material loops can be closed through reuse and recycling. Waste‑to‑energy and water treatment solutions complete the lifecycle perspective.

In addition to the four thematic pillars, Build’n Green 2026 features also two special programme highlights:

A session focuses on rebuilding Ukraine in a sustainable and resilient way, with a view on infrastructure, buildings and urban development and real cooperation opportunities.

AUSTRIAN GREEN PLANET BUILDING AWARDS® & EVENING RECEPTION
An evening networking event recognising outstanding international building projects realised with Austrian expertise. The initiative highlights the global activities of Austrian planning, construction and technology companies in sustainable and energy‑efficient building. Based on stringent quality criteria focusing on energy efficiency, renewable energy and climate protection, Austrian Green Planet Building® showcases excellence in sustainable construction “made in Austria”.
