Based in Morocco since 2015, Generizon is a firm specializing in environmental services, renewable energy, and sustainable waste management solutions. The company operates through two primary divisions: strategic environmental and Waste-to-Energy (WtE) consultancy, as well as the sale of biogas and energy equipment. On the technical side, Generizon supplies, delivers, installs, and maintains biogas and energy recovery equipment, including combined heat and power (CHP) gas engines, gas treatment desulfurization systems, flares, anaerobic digesters, gas holders, flame arrestors, flow meters, and related safety and monitoring equipment. The company primarily collaborates with German and Austrian technology partners, reselling their solutions to landfill operators, wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs), and industrial clients in Morocco. On the other hand, Generizon is strongly involved in environmental and renewable energy studies related to Waste-to-Energy, anaerobic digestion, landfill gas (LFG) recovery, circular economy, and sector decarbonization. The company focuses particularly on organic waste, as Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) in Morocco contains around 60% organic matter with a high moisture content. These conditions lead to significant methane generation, which is a Short-Lived Climate Pollutant (SLCP), with a global warming potential (GWP) 28 times higher than CO₂ over 100 years. To address this, Generizon carries out LFG emission assessments using the IPCC First-Order Decay (FOD) model, estimates energy potential, and proposes technical solutions to capture methane and convert it into useful energy.
