My organisation
Green Salvaged Materials (GSM) is building the infrastructure to make circular construction standard practice. We work across the full building lifecycle — from deconstruction and existing building audits to active job sites and manufacturing networks — to recover, track and redeploy surplus and salvaged building materials. What began as structured salvage planning has evolved into a broader industry platform. GSM combines two core initiatives: • The GSM Materials Platform – a digital system that makes stranded materials visible and tradable across projects, contractor yards and supply chains. • The ReUse Collective – material-specific and owner-focused working groups that act as pre-standard think tanks, developing practical protocols, evaluation pathways and implementation roadmaps to embed reuse directly into procurement, design and construction workflows. We work with owners, engineers, contractors, manufacturers and municipalities to move beyond ad hoc reuse and toward predictable, scalable systems. Our focus includes salvaged materials from deconstruction as well as surplus and off-cut materials generated during new construction — ensuring value is captured before materials become waste. By aligning material flows with project efficiency, carbon reduction and supply-chain resilience, GSM is helping redefine how the construction industry values what already exists — and how it moves materials forward.
