We are in a housing, affordability and climate crisis in Canada. INTERFAB Timber Systems is a Toronto-based company, advancing the industrialisation of mass timber through a network of regional light industrial fabrication facilities (LIFFs) designed to address bottlenecks in North American housing construction. Mass timber demand has crossed key regulatory, policy and market thresholds, but delivery remains fragmented and lacks integration. The same goes for the supply chain, where there is a lack of close-to-market fabricators. INTERFAB addresses this gap by providing the missing integration and execution layers between design and site--standardising systems, processes and quality control while enabling regional delivery close to where projects are constructed. INTERFAB is led by a systems-first team with direct experience across engineering wood products, fabrication, and real-world project delivery--focused on execution, not experimentation.
