ManEco (Ecological Manifesto – ManEco Foundation) is a Bulgarian non-profit organization founded in 2018 to empower people and communities to live more sustainably and take meaningful climate action. Inspired by the Ecological Manifesto — a global call for humanity to live in balance with nature — the organization works at the intersection of education, social innovation, and civic engagement. ManEco designs and implements non-formal educational programs, public campaigns, community initiatives, and youth empowerment projects that translate complex environmental challenges into practical, everyday solutions. The organization connects scientific knowledge with creative approaches, helping people adopt sustainable lifestyles, reduce waste, support circular economy practices, and participate actively in democratic processes shaping their communities. A strong focus of ManEco’s work is youth empowerment. The foundation creates opportunities for young people to develop leadership skills, launch social and environmental initiatives, and engage in decision-making processes at local, national, and international levels. Since 2025, ManEco hosts Social Impact Award Bulgaria (SIA Bulgaria), supporting young social entrepreneurs to build ventures with environmental and social value, and co-organizes the Local Conference of Youth (LCOY Bulgaria) as part of the UNFCCC youth climate process. By combining grassroots action, innovation, and partnerships, ManEco helps turn awareness into real-world solutions and strengthens the role of communities in building a sustainable future.
