Ardhi Na Mbao aims to develop the use of earth and timber in the form of earth and mass timber technologies respectively as viable building materials in Kenya. By manufacturing our materials locally, we are looking to bridge Africa’s gap in appropriate, sustainable and affordable materials that can be leveraged in the promotion of green construction and affordable housing. Through our research mandate, we are also working to provide contextual and in-depth knowledge to designers and built environment professionals on the use of these technologies by developing the standards and manuals necessary for effective adoption.
